Episode 41 is here and it’s a survivor tale! 12 year old Thadius Phillips was abducted from his home while sleeping next to his sister.
The perpetrator was a 17 year old neighborhood bully with a fascination of breaking bones. What Thad endured at the hands of this monster is unimaginable. This story is referred to as the Bone breaker case and although Thad survived, another boy wasn’t so lucky.

Our 40th episode is out now and we finish our coverage of Stinky Pinkerton in a special double length episode. Honestly this case is infuriating and we are glad to have it finished. We have been itching for weeks and infuriated by this guy. Willie is suspected to have killed up to 100 women in Vancouver and we have no problem believing that figure. The police have blood on their hands, in my opinion,  as they refused to look for these women until it was far too late.
Listen to this heinous case today and hear all the disgusting details of just how this serial killer was able to get away with his crimes for so long.

Ok, if you are in any way interested in true crime cases then you’ve probably heard of Willie Pickton. If you haven’t then buckle up, you are in for a disgusting, stinky and filthy education.
Today we start with the Pickton family history and what their lives were like to see if it could contribute to what this guy went on to do…spoiler alert, it does.

Shocking is the only word we can think of to describe this case. Mary started her killing the day before she turned 11. She was raised in the worst environment imaginable and was certainly neglected and abused by those who should have protected her.
Two young boys would die and many more were hurt before she was stopped. But more importantly, before she was helped.
In this case we see the whole situation, we know why it happened and we see the rehabilitation. It is possible but you, like us, will wish more was done sooner.

Episode 37 - Ella Douglas

Thursday Apr 30, 2026

Thursday Apr 30, 2026

Today’s case is one from my dad’s home town of Dumfries in Scotland. A man, on a whim, with no red flags or criminal history, decided to murder a woman he claimed to love after she simply asked him if he wanted a cup of tea. After the killing, he sat with the body for 8 hours before hiding it in a grotesque and unimaginable way.

Her family and friends were searching for her but it would take 10 months for the truth to come out. Unfortunately the punishment didn’t match the crime and this man practically got away with a cold blooded killing.

Episode 36 - The Jigsaw Murders

Thursday Apr 23, 2026

Thursday Apr 23, 2026

This case has everything! I mean, hi, happy Thursday…..this case has everything! It is the story of a brutal murderer whose level of butchery was intense and resulted in him being dubbed ‘The Jigsaw Killer’. It’s a rollercoaster of a tale, we travel from India to the Middle East, England and Scotland.
I chose it because it takes place around where my family is from, or part of it does, but really for the leap that was made in forensic science because of it.
What should have been an incredibly difficult case to solve, even with today’s technology, was closed relatively quickly thanks to great police work and great science. A monster was caught before he could do any more butchering and the role that forensics can play in solving a crime was suddenly noticed by law enforcement.

Today’s episode is the last of our 4 survivor tales where we highlight the cases of some bad ass women in honor of Women’s History Month. This one is a little different though, it’s a survivor tales and, unfortunately, a murder.
In 2000 two friends were enjoying some down time after their final exams and looking forward to their high school graduation which was just a matter of days away. As the pair left Hollywood Video they met a monster. He would brutally murder Elizabeth and do his best to kill Brandi too.
This case is so tragic but in the darkest of moments there can still be light. Brandi survived, the killer’s family refused to shield him and Elizabeth’s family would show what true love and forgiveness really are.

She lived, her attitude, her behaviours, were remarkable. She did everything to save her life and to catch the man who did this to her.

This wasn’t her only struggle however, a serious car accident a few years later would test her resilience again and once more she would come out as a hero.
